Dino Wobble Card

Here is the dino card I made tonight. Just a short video to show you it in motion lol. Not sure if this post will work as this is the first time I am even attempting a video post.

I also made 2 valentine's day cards. Helmar is fantastic to hold all the heavy elements on too! I made a heart by cutting out 2 plain hearts, and 1 patterned paper heart. Glued them together to try to get them to not curl when I added the Liquid Pewter pearls, smooch spray and Glossy Accents. And it worked! Oh I inked the edges before I started any of the pewter or accents. I don't remember where I got the lock and key brads from though. Sorry. Those Helmar White 1/2 inch Zapdots have that heart stuck for LIFE on that card let me tell ya!

Ok not going to bore you with tons of detail tonight I want to curl up on the couch for a bit..

Hope you all like!

I used Peachy Keen Retro Stamps, Fiskars Happy Birthday Stamps, Sweet Treats Cricut Cart (present), and Disney's Pooh Bear Cricut Cartridge (balloons). I "think" the present is cut at 3 inches and the balloons at 3.75. Like I said I didn't write this stuff down so DONT quote me on the sizes lol...

I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Helmar Acid Free Glue, and Helmar's Tape Runner (which by the way works AWESOME on embossed paper!!). All of these products are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone!! If you papercraft you need this glue in your stash!! All the link's above for Helmar are all the same company I just wanted to give you their blog, facebook, and product page. I buy all of my Helmar product at Scrap-tastic.com

Currently as you can tell from my previous posts I am making cards for a children hospital. Please see the email below if you would like to join us!

I have a card donation challenge on my blog. I am making cards for the Brenner Children Hospital. I would love it if you would mention my blog on yours. I could use any donation of cards to cheer up the sick children and parents. I also collecting bdays, holidays so hospital can give them out to the kids through out the year.

Hang in There!!

Hey all! Chris Wooten of Turned Gypsy asked that many of us crafters make some cards to send her so she can send them onto the hospitals to give that special child/adult a lil smile when they need it most. So I have been working on another design today that I thought was sort of cute, at least it made my son smile :). I wanted to make a card more geared towards a boy so they don't get some girly card when they need it. So I used Four Legged Friends & Disney's Pooh cartridge to make a masculine type of card.
I cut the snake at 2.5 and used all textured cardstock. The eyes on the snake really don't cut out with the cut being that small so I used my Forever In Time black glitter gel pen to put a lil sparkle in his eyes. The tree limb is from Disney's Pooh cart cut at 6 inches. I used my ultra thin Sharpie markers to outline the tree limb and leaves. I punched out a 1 inch circle and stamped My Pink Stampers "Hang in There" stamp.
The mat is an Ivory cardstock distressed with Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany then I took a background stamp of bricks and stamped it in darker of the Aged Mahogany. The took some Walnut stain and went back over it all lightly to give it more of a real brick wall feel.  Of course I had to use Kraft cardstock for the base of the card! I think I have a problem with this cardstock now as I want to use it on EVERYTHING now lol... Since all of these are going a very long way I used my Helmar 450 adhesive to put it all on the card as this stuff is AWESOME stuff!
Ok enough babbling and here ya go! Hope you like it!

Snow Cutie!

I was drug to Menards tonight by my husband after work. I really hadn't wanted to do anywhere but he insisted we go pick out the walls that we wanted in the scrap room so I felt I really needed to go. I got there before him so I walked around for a bit not really thinking I would find anything interesting at a hardware store. BOY was I WRONG! They have cricut cartridges!!! And they were on sale for $20 a piece! So you bet your booty I picked up a few of them! Ok Ok I had like 7 in my hands and put 4 of them back lol. I got Sweet Treats, Nursery Rhymes, and Graphically Speaking.
I got the Graphically speaking just in time for a challenge I wanted to do too! Over at M.A.G challenge by the page you get to only use the cricut for the cuts on a specific page they pick on a specific cart. This week it is from Graphically Speaking and page 56. I made the snowflakes on this page and cut them at size 2. Using Helmar's 450 glue I glued the two pieces together then used stickles in various places. Mostly diamond but also some Waterfall color. The snowflake on the left I wanted to stick out some so I used Helmar's scrap dots to make it pop off of the page. The one on the left is glued down with 450.
The rest of the cuts on this card are all by hand! No machine work involved! Ok so I can't cut a perfect circle and used my punches... The snowman is punched out and glued together with Helmar's Acid Free glue. I drew his arms on a brown piece of textured cardstock (on the back) and then cut them out. I attached them to the snowman with tiny white brads so his arms are movable! He has a "Snow Cuties" Peachy Keen Stamp for his face (stinkin cute!). He is adhered to the card with Helmar's White Zapdots 1/2 Square. (Helmar has some FANTASTIC adhesives and you really need to check them out HERE! Some stickles here and there and some ribbon from Michaels. I cut out some white paper to try to look like snow for the bottom and used a My Pink Stamper "Winter Punnies" stamp that says "Thanks Snow Much!"

I am entering this in M.A.G. Challenges by the page, The Crafty Pad, & Gingersnap Creations, Fantabulous Cricut Monday Challenge.
