Accordian Fold Panda Love!

M.A.G challenge is back!! I thought I was going to have to miss the first week back but thanks to Michael's and their 9.99 sale I was so lucky to get the Pagoda cartridge. I unfortunately found out about the sale way later in the evening and that was the only cartridge they had left.
I decided to make a Valentines card for the challenge. I cut the panda out at 3 inches and used flock on the white part to fluff him up a bit by running it through my Xyron upside down. I hid the eyes with my gypsy so I could put some google eyes on him. The last picture down below shows where I faux stitched him AFTER I took the main pictures. The cupcake in his hands is from the EK Success border punch. I used Lindy's Stamp Gang Hottie Patootie Pink and Poinsettia Red Gold to color the cupcakes, originally cut on white card stock.
All the other embellishments on the card are from The Paper Bliss that I got in a 9.99 value pack long ago. The heart/flourish paper on the main focus of the card is from K&Company. I think the print paper on the other side of the card is from The Paper Studio but I cannot remember for sure as it was from my stash.
The band of the card is the same K&Company paper with another Paper Bliss embellishment on it, I added a stick pin with beads for a little more bling that I made tonight as well. I am also entering this in Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.  I hope you enjoy!

Card base 5 1/2 x 11 scored at 1 1/2, 3, 5 1/2, & 8.
Mats cut at 1 1/4 (1 of them K&Company & 1 The Paper Studio), 2 1/4 (1 of them K&Company & 1 The Paper Studio), & 2 3/4 (K&Company).
Band cut at 8 x 2 1/2

Snow Cutie!

I was drug to Menards tonight by my husband after work. I really hadn't wanted to do anywhere but he insisted we go pick out the walls that we wanted in the scrap room so I felt I really needed to go. I got there before him so I walked around for a bit not really thinking I would find anything interesting at a hardware store. BOY was I WRONG! They have cricut cartridges!!! And they were on sale for $20 a piece! So you bet your booty I picked up a few of them! Ok Ok I had like 7 in my hands and put 4 of them back lol. I got Sweet Treats, Nursery Rhymes, and Graphically Speaking.
I got the Graphically speaking just in time for a challenge I wanted to do too! Over at M.A.G challenge by the page you get to only use the cricut for the cuts on a specific page they pick on a specific cart. This week it is from Graphically Speaking and page 56. I made the snowflakes on this page and cut them at size 2. Using Helmar's 450 glue I glued the two pieces together then used stickles in various places. Mostly diamond but also some Waterfall color. The snowflake on the left I wanted to stick out some so I used Helmar's scrap dots to make it pop off of the page. The one on the left is glued down with 450.
The rest of the cuts on this card are all by hand! No machine work involved! Ok so I can't cut a perfect circle and used my punches... The snowman is punched out and glued together with Helmar's Acid Free glue. I drew his arms on a brown piece of textured cardstock (on the back) and then cut them out. I attached them to the snowman with tiny white brads so his arms are movable! He has a "Snow Cuties" Peachy Keen Stamp for his face (stinkin cute!). He is adhered to the card with Helmar's White Zapdots 1/2 Square. (Helmar has some FANTASTIC adhesives and you really need to check them out HERE! Some stickles here and there and some ribbon from Michaels. I cut out some white paper to try to look like snow for the bottom and used a My Pink Stamper "Winter Punnies" stamp that says "Thanks Snow Much!"

I am entering this in M.A.G. Challenges by the page, The Crafty Pad, & Gingersnap Creations, Fantabulous Cricut Monday Challenge.

Always Grow Card

I love challenges and this card was specifically made for the M.A.G Challenge #4. The challenge was to use Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge and only the images on page 69. I cut the wheelbarrow at 5.25 in 3 different colors, black, silver, & brown. I think used my Cutter Bee knife to cut out the wheel, and the handle to create the different colors of the barrow.
All the tools are cut at 4 inches & distressed with Tim Holtz black soot, frayed burlap and my white gel pen. The leaves are cut at 4 inches as well. I used a McGill Petite Perfect petals punch to cut out the flowers and then embossed them with my stampin' up embossing tool. The edges were distressed with Tim Holtz Dusty Concord and Victorian Velvet. I used Eucalyptus Stickles in the middle of all the flowers. All the die cuts are adhered to the page using glue dots.
I embossed the mat for the paper with one of companion folders from the preserves line. Then took some whisper lilac ink across the embossed parts. I used a corner rounder on all the edges of mats and the card. The sentiment is a stamp set from Stampology called Ticketed.
On the inside is just a simple mat distressed with Tim Holtz Dusty Concord and a metal tag from Making Memories the Eclectic line.
Hope you guys like this!

M.A.G.Challenge #2

Here is my entry for the M.A.G. challenge #2. I have to admit my card is missing something, I cut off the antenna to put wire in their place and seem have have misplaced my craft wire somewhere. I wanted to get this posted before the challenge closed though so here it is.

The wings have acetate on the top layer with glitter and ink. They are embossed with a folder I am not really sure of the name.

Hope you like it. Will try to update the pics once I get his lil feelers on there lol

Create a Critter Croc

Hello everyone! It's finally Halloween! I can't wait to take my son out trick or treating and see all the fun ghouls and ghosts tonight! I wanted to do a challenge today for M.A.G Challenge #2. I LOVE that this is a challenge blog that gives you a page from a certain cartridge to work from each week! You should check them out!
I got a 1 lb pack of scraps at HL that had this fun looking brown leather like paper in it (Its the reason I got the pack) and I just knew that one day I would be using that paper! And I was right! The grass, croc outter layer, and yellow layer are all from that pack. Its Handmade paper from TPS. He is cut at 1.8  and the bird is cut at 1.5. I used paper from DCWV's Amber Autumn  for the mat (Which I distressed with TH's Aged Mahogany) and the bird (Which was distressed with TH's Wild Honey).
Card cut at 5 x 7 using Kraft card stock and the mat is 4 3/4 x 6 3/4.
The sentiment is from Clearly defined Small Tag Lines. The clouds are cut on the Imagine at 3.7. And last but not least the grass is the MS grass border punch.
I used Stampin Up's deminsionals to put the Croc on and double layered the deminsionals to make the bird seem to be standing on the croc.

Hope you like it!
